You never know how much you appreciate who someone is (even their flaws), until something happens and that person may never be the same again...
I pray to God that Jake will eventually come back.

President Elect Barack Obama
While watching Mr. Obama's speech on NBC, it dawned on me that I have never been this interested in what the future president (or even the president) of the United States had to say. I have to believe that I am not the only person who feels this way. He's making politics interesting. I want to see what he can do, but one thing he has already done is intrigued the youth of America, and there's something to be said for that.
In my opinion, to reach his full potential, Barack will have to not only intrigue the youth, but keep them involved. They were involved throughout his campaign, and if he can keep them involved throughout his presidency, I think we will see major changes for the better throughout the country.
One of Barack's most defining assets is his ability to stir up emotion and excitement. That's something recent presidents have not been able to do, and hopefully it's something that will encourage American's to stay involved in the political realm throughout these difficult times and even when times are looking up.
So if you're reading this: Do your part. Stay involved. At least be aware of what's going on in our country and in the world around us.
